Silver Shield signs exclusive agreement

BURLINGTON, ON, May 11 /CNW/ - Silver Shield Resources (TSX.V-SSR) is very pleased to announce it has just signed an exclusive agreement, appointing Mr. Donald Shaxon to the role of Manager of Corporate Development for the Company. Mr. Shaxon has more than 15 years experience in the investor relations and corporate communications field and recently, both in-house and as a consultant, assisted in raising over 100 million dollars for companies producing gold in Canada and Mexico.

He will be responsible for day-to-day strategic communications and media relations efforts, in addition to providing support for ongoing investor relations, and financing activities.

Silver Shield is a "Precious Metals Focused" exploration and development company managed by experienced mining and business professionals with a portfolio of gold and silver exploration properties located in Ontario and Mexico. The Company holds a group of well located properties in the exciting West Timmins Gold Camp and is actively exploring its Lost Dog and Ogden properties, which have substantial exploration potential. The Company also holds the Welsh Silver mine in the Elk Lake Area of Ontario and plans for additional exploration later this year. Interests in Mexico include the La Cumbre and La Florida Silver/Gold/Copper properties and the Jaripo Silver/Lead/Zinc property which will be the focus of exploration this year.
