Sino-Forest Stay Period under Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act extended
TORONTO, April 16, 2012 /CNW/ - Sino-Forest Corporation ("Sino-Forest" or the "Company") announced today that the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List) (the "Court") has granted the request by the Company for an extension of the stay period granted under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (the "CCAA") to June 1, 2012. In its Initial Order obtained on March 30, 2012, the Court provided a 30 day stay period.
