SIR Royalty Income Fund Announces Appointment of New Trustee
BURLINGTON, ON, April 14, 2014 /CNW/ - SIR Royalty Income Fund (TSX: SRV.UN) ("the Fund") today announced the appointment of Kim van Nieuwkoop, LLM, General Counsel for SIR Corp. ("SIR") as a Trustee of the Fund, and as a Director of SIR GP Inc., an affiliated entity. Mrs. van Nieuwkoop will stand for election as a new Trustee at the Fund's Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, May 21, 2014. The Fund's Management Information Circular will be mailed to unitholders on or about April 25, 2014.

Kim van Nieuwkoop, LLM, has been with SIR since 2005 and holds the position of General Counsel for the Company. She is responsible for SIR's legal affairs, compliance and operational audit functions. Prior to joining SIR, Mrs. van Nieuwkoop was Senior Counsel (UK) for Consolidated Financial Insurance, a division of GE Capital. Prior thereto she was in private practice in London, England, specializing in international commerce with global law firm Holman Fenwick and Willan. She holds two bachelor degrees from the University of Western Ontario and a Master of Law Degree from the London School of Economics. Mrs. van Nieuwkoop is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, Canadian Bar Association, Association of Corporate Counsel and the Law Society of England & Wales.
