TORONTO, Feb. 22 /CNW/ - SIRIUS Canada, the country's leading audio entertainment company, today announced that it will present three live performances celebrating Canadian artists during Canadian Music Week, taking place March 10-14 in Toronto.

    
    SIRIUS Canada's CMW events include:

    -  PLATINUM BLONDE REUNION CONCERT: 80s supergroup Platinum Blonde will
       reunite for a rare, one-night-only performance at the Mod Club in
       Toronto on Wednesday, March 10 presented by SIRIUS Canada. Later in
       the week, on Friday March 12, Platinum Blonde will be recognized for
       their achievements with an induction to the Canadian Music and
       Broadcast Industry Hall of Fame.

    -  SIRIUS' SALUTES QUEBEC SHOWCASE: This year's Quebec showcase will
       feature Navet Confit, Parlovr, Fred Fortin, Winter Gloves and Handsome
       Furs. The concert will take place at Toronto's El Mocambo Club on
       Friday March 12th beginning at 9 PM ET. The performance will be
       broadcast live on SIRIUS channel 86 beginning at 8 PM ET.

    -  SIRIUS SONGWRITERS CAFÉ: The SIRIUS Songwriters Café will feature
       acoustic performances by The Trews, Joel Plaskett, Jeff Martin and
       Default. The concert will be recorded for a future exclusive broadcast
       on SIRIUS Satellite Radio's Iceberg 85 channel and will air on March
       17 at 7 PM ET.
