TORONTO, July 7 /CNW/ - Thousands of ordinary people across North America are expected to participate in a mass skinny-dip on July 10th at 3 pm (EDT).
Last year, 13,674 participants in 139 locations set a Guinness World Record(TM) for the most people simultaneously skinny-dipping. The objective this year is to break last year's record.
Skinny-dipping is an activity that most Canadians can relate to. But for most people, it has been limited to a nighttime experience in remote locations. This event will give individuals, couples and families a chance to experience the joy and freedom of skinny-dipping in the sun as part of a large group. In addition, participants may discover what naturists have known for nearly a century - that communal nudity leads to greater self-respect, acceptance of others, and closeness to nature.
The event is being coordinated by the American Association for Nude Recreation but several locations in Canada are also participating.
