Slate U.S. Opportunity (No. 1) Realty Trust to Acquire Grocery-Anchored Retail Asset in South Carolina

TORONTO, Sept. 4, 2012 /CNW/ - Slate U.S. Opportunity (No. 1) Realty Trust (the "Trust") announced today that it has entered into a binding agreement to purchase North Pointe, a 64,255 square foot grocery-anchored retail centre in Columbia, South Carolina for U.S.$7,850,000 (U.S.$122 PSF) at an approximately 8.2% going-in cap rate. The asset is 100% occupied, anchored by Publix. The acquisition is expected to be completed in September 2012 and remains subject to customary closing conditions. Slate Properties Inc. ("Slate") is the Trust manager.
