Small Plane Crash - North Spirit Lake First Nation

THUNDER BAY, ON, Jan. 10, 2012 /CNW/ - On Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at approximately 11:30 a.m. (Eastern Time) the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was notified by the Joint Rescue Coordination Center (JRCC) in Trenton of the crash of a small plane.

Members of the OPP North West Region, including the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service (NAPS) have responded to this remote location northwest of the Spirit Lake First Nation to assist JRCC in the search and rescue effort.

The OPP and NAPS will remain on scene to assist the Transportation Safety Board of Canada in the investigation.
