S'more RV buying tips from AMVIC
EDMONTON, Feb. 9, 2017 /CNW/ - Enjoying a toasty campfire, roasting marshmallows and camping under the stars sounds like a faraway fantasy in snowy February. But, this weekend Albertans will start planning for those dream RV vacations at the Edmonton RV Expo & Sale.
AMVIC, Alberta's automotive regulator, will be at the Edmonton RV Expo to offer consumers helpful tips and information about the process of purchasing a RV.
"RV season is exciting for Alberta families and we want to give consumers the knowledge they need to make a smart and informed decision," Doug Lagore, AMVIC CEO said. "It's important for consumers to be fully educated before signing purchase agreements or putting down deposits."
Consumers can stop by AMVIC's booth to ask questions and learn more about everything from all-in pricing requirements, deposits and the risks of buying from curbers a.k.a unlicensed businesses.
All RV businesses selling in Alberta must be AMVIC-licensed and their salespeople must be registered. AMVIC's searchable online database makes it easy to verify. Registered salespeople must complete AMVIC's course on Alberta's automotive consumer protection laws.
Look for AMVIC's booth at the 2017 Edmonton RV Expo & Sale February 9-12 at the Northlands Expo Centre or visit: amvic.org/consumer for more advice before buying, repairing or consigning a vehicle.
