A musical competition to showcase young local talent
The competition Snowsnaps: The Band Contest will be the experience of a lifetime! Local talented 12 to 17-year-old singers and dancers who want to experience something incredible as part of a band are invited to try their luck. To submit their application, budding artists have to share a video of themselves performing a song a cappella, either in French or English, from the album La Guerre des Tuques 3D - either Je suis le vent, Liberté, Les héros, Amour d'hiver, L'hymne, Liberty, The Heroes, You're My Sweater or Hymn.
Young hopefuls are invited to fill out the form available at https://attache-ta-tuque.ca/en/ before July 21 at 11:59 pm.
The talent, personality and determination of the young candidates will enable them to join a unique and varied group made up of other teens who share their passions. The selection process will be demanding and handled by important personalities in the entertainment industry. Qualified song and dance professionals, along with the series' producers, will screen the candidates' videos and select who will go on to have a second audition in front of a jury. The auditions will take place in Montréal and Ottawa in August 2017 (dates to be confirmed). Since the songs will be recorded both in English and French, candidates must be fluent in both languages, and be available August 2017.
