TORONTO, July 27 /CNW/ - After dancing its way into the hearts of millions of Canadian viewers, CTV's Gemini Award-winning series SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA returns with its highly anticipated third season premiere on Sunday, August 15 at 9 p.m. ET on CTV, with encore episodes airing back-to-back beginning Saturday, August 21 on MuchMusic (visit CTV.ca and MuchMusic.com to confirm local broadcast times). The premiere kicks off a week of audition episodes before the performances begin with the Top 20 on Monday, August 23 at 9 p.m. ET, followed by the results on Tuesday, August 24 at 8:30 p.m. ET on CTV. The series then moves to Wednesday night performance episodes and Thursday night results episodes beginning September 22 and 23.
In its second season, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA had an average audience of 1.43 million viewers and ended the season with 11% more viewers than Season 1. A Top 15 hit for Females 18-34, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA consistently won its timeslot nationally with the key female demos (F18-34, F18-49 and F25-54). The second season finale on October 25, 2009 also garnered an average audience of 1.8 million viewers, a series high, with 2.35 million viewers watching as Tara-Jean Popowich from Lethbridge, AB was crowned Canada's Favourite Dancer.
