Some familiar faces and new faces are elected to SOCAN's next Board
TORONTO, May 25, 2012 /CNW/ - The Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN) today announced the results of its Board of Directors election. The results were based on votes cast by SOCAN members (music writers and publishers) from April 10, 2012 - May 11, 2012.
The SOCAN Board of Directors is comprised of 18 individuals - nine writer members and nine publisher members. They serve a three-year term and represent the interests of both writer and publisher members.
The following individuals were elected through the formal voting process and will be confirmed at the SOCAN Annual General Meeting on June 19, 2012 in Toronto:
