"Social Transformation and the Digital Age": experts from 60 countries brought together in Montreal for the World Social Science Français
MONTREAL, Oct. 7, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - From October 13 to 15, Montréal will host, the 2nd World Social Science Forum that will bring together more than 750 experts from all disciplines of social sciences. This year, delegates will address different subjects around the theme "Social Transformation and the Digital Age" such as the role of social media (Arab Spring, Wikileaks, Anonymous, IdleNoMore, Occupy movement, e-health and the digitization of medical files, the transformation of war (drones, diplomacy and the digital game discourses session featuring Mia Consalvo from Concordia University). The Forum will be held at the Palais des Congrès (159, St-Antoine Street West).
Three plenaries are also scheduled, featuring Robert Darnton, Hervé Fischer, and Sally Wyatt.
