SODEVA just commissioned for Lactalis, one of the world biggest cheese producer, a slicer with 3D-vision that cuts at fixed weight cheese wheels to a few thousandths of a pound, at 10 wheels per minute, which according to Lactalis managers themselves, is a world premiere at this level of accuracy and speed.
An invaluable benefit of ultrasounds is the ability to automatically clean the blade in a simple water bath, and kill all bacteria in a split of a second, thereby avoiding cross-contamination due to the blade.
