Sodexo Awarded Fifth Consecutive Gold level Achievement in Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR) Français
BURLINGTON, ON, Sept. 16, 2013 /CNW/ - Sodexo Canada is pleased to announce that it has attained PAR gold level certification from the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB) for the fifth consecutive time. The CCAB recognizes Sodexo as an industry leader in Aboriginal relations.
"As a PAR Gold certified company since 2001, our relationships with our Aboriginal partners and their communities contribute to their growth and development and are critical to our ongoing success," explained Dean Johnson, President of Sodexo Canada. "As a result, we invest significant resources in building and managing those relationships, including investing in our Aboriginal employees to ensure they grow and prosper within Sodexo."
The Progressive Aboriginal Relations program recognizes sustainable business leaders who are committed to working with Aboriginal businesses and communities. Gold level certification indicates the introduction of innovative programs and engagement of Aboriginal people in four key areas: employment, business development, community relations, and community investment.
Sodexo prides itself on building strong, mutually rewarding partnerships as it expands its operations throughout Canada. In line with its commitment to Aboriginal communities and the PAR program, Sodexo has developed thirty-five alliances with Aboriginal organizations from coast to coast. Sodexo continues to improve the recruitment process to grow its Aboriginal workforce at various levels of the organization and has recently launched an Aboriginal employee network group to reinforce the economic, social and environmental development of Aboriginal communities.
