Softchoice announces Simon Parmar as new CFO and Senior VP of Finance
TORONTO, June 9, 2014 /CNW/ - Softchoice, a leading North American technology solutions and services provider, announced today the appointment of Simon Parmar as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Finance. Mr. Parmar comes to Softchoice from the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI) where he served as Managing Director and Divisional President.

As Managing Director, Mr. Parmar was responsible for leading the overall CSI business under Moody's Analytics. He previously served as CSI's CFO and Senior Vice President of Operations responsible for business operations, finance, IT and in-house counsel. Mr. Parmar also has experience in the technology industry, having served as CFO at Constellation Software, an organization that acquires, manages and builds market-leading software businesses. During his time there he also worked as U.K. Managing Director for Constellation's largest subsidiary, the Trapeze Group.
Softchoice's outgoing CFO, David Long, is stepping down from the role after five years of strong leadership and a steady hand at the company's financial helm. He is working with Mr. Parmar throughout the month of June to transition responsibilities.
