TORONTO, Dec. 9, 2015 /CNW/ - Softchoice, a leading North American IT solutions and managed services provider, has been honored with a Glassdoor Employees' Choice Award, recognizing the company as one of the Best Places to Work in 2016. The Employees' Choice Awards program, now in its eighth year, relies solely on the input of employees, who elect to provide feedback on their jobs, work environments and companies via Glassdoor.
"Our people are the driver of our success, and so we devote a lot of time and energy to ensuring we provide the growth opportunities and work environment to allow them to unleash their potential," said David MacDonald, President and CEO, Softchoice. "This recognition from Glassdoor is particularly special because it comes from the unsolicited, unfiltered feedback from the people who live our culture."
Softchoice's award-winning corporate culture has a lot to do with its focus on growing and developing its employees. This includes offering comprehensive training and providing open and transparent communication on the performance and direction of the company. Softchoice also offers multi-faceted reward and recognition programs, as well as numerous opportunities to participate in employee-led philanthropic activities, like Softchoice Cares.
Softchoice's corporate culture has also been recognized by Achievers as one of its 50 Most Engaged Workplaces in North America (2015), one of Canada's Most Admired Corporate Cultures (2013), and a Best Workplace in Canada by the Great Place to Work Institute for 10 straight years (2006-15).
"Everyone wants a job and company they love," said Glassdoor co-founder and CEO Robert Hohman. "At Glassdoor, we're working to make that a reality for the millions of job seekers around the world who are turning to Glassdoor for information they can't find anywhere else. Programs like the Employees' Choice Awards allow us to honor employers that stand out for their efforts in providing an enjoyable work environment and culture."
The Best Places to Work are determined using company reviews shared by employees between November 3, 2014 and November 1, 2015. To be considered for the Canada list, a company must have at least 25 Glassdoor-approved company reviews from current and former Canada-based employees during the window of eligibility. The final list is compiled based on Glassdoor's proprietary algorithm, and takes into account quantity, quality and consistency of reviews.
