SOFTROCK MINERALS LTD. ANNOUNCES GRANT OF OPTIONS

CALGARY, Oct. 22 /CNW/ - Softrock Minerals Ltd. ("Softrock" or the "Corporation") (TSXV: SFT) has granted incentive stock options pursuant to its stock option plan entitling directors and officers of Softrock to acquire an aggregate of 600,000 common shares of Softrock at an exercise price of $0.05 per common share. The options expire in five years.

The "Corporation" also announced that the 2009 Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders will be held Thursday December 02 at 11:00am at the Calgary Ramada Inn at 708 8 Ave SW.
