Soldier injured in light armoured vehicule incident at Valcartier Garrison

Valcartier Garrison, QC, June 28 /CNW Telbec/ - A light armoured vehicle rolled over during a driver training exercise in Valcartier Garrison's training sectors, injuring lightly one serviceman at 10h35 AM on June 28, 2010.

The soldier with minor injuries was airlifted to a hospital located in the Quebec City.

An emergency response team was quickly dispatched to the Lac à la Voile area to help troops there with the incident.

The identity of the serviceman as well as the nature and extent of his injuries will not be revealed as they are of a confidential nature and as such are protected by law.

An inquiry is in progress to determine the causes of the incident. No further information will be disclosed at this time.
