MONTREAL, Feb. 24, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Parc Jean-Drapeau will be graced by a nice gift this afternoon in the form of a fresh snowfall that will cover its superb trails with a magnificent white carpet. The winter activity sites at the Parc will be open all weekend long.
"Winter isn't over at Parc Jean-Drapeau, especially with the snowy weekend that's in store," remarked Société du parc Jean-Drapeau spokesperson Nathalie Lessard. "This fresh snowfall will enable all of the Parc's visitors to fully enjoy the 10 activities being offered to them this weekend."
The list of activities includes: tube sliding, dogsled and horse-drawn sleighrides, zip-line, introduction to downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, open snowshoeing and giant foosball. The Snow Village will be decked out in its finest winter attire, and people can take the opportunity to see its charms while they're at the Parc. A special package deal allows visitors unlimited day-long access to the tube slide, Snow Village and zip-line. People of all ages will be able to rent cross-country skis, snowshoes and sleds.
Parc Jean-Drapeau is situated midway between downtown Montréal and the South Shore and is easy to get to by subway (Jean-Drapeau station). Before leaving for the Parc, you can check the website at parcjeandrapeau.com to see the latest updates on the weekend activities.
