TORONTO, July 22, 2013 /CNW/ - Canada's Walk of Fame Festival, along with National Premier Partner RBC, announced today that four-time JUNO Award-winner, Serena Ryder is the first performer announced to headline the fourth annual Canada's Walk of Fame Festival. Making her debut headline performance at Massey Hall, the Toronto-born singer-songwriter will take to the stage at the iconic venue on Friday, September 20, performing favourites from across her career, including the triple platinum hit, "Stompa."
Harmony was released in November 2012 and is Ryder's most successful album to date. In a few short months, it shot to Gold Certification and just last week sales doubled to land her first ever Platinum-certified album. Harmony's incredible success is testament to the meteoric rise of her first two singles "Stompa" and "What I Wouldn't Do" on the SoundScan and radio charts. Earlier this year Ryder earned her fourth JUNO Award for Best Adult Alternative Album of the Year and her first MuchMusic Video Award for Rock / Alternative Video of the Year.
The fourth annual Canada's Walk of Fame Festival returns to Toronto from September 19-21, covering three days of music featuring some of Canada's most popular performers. Additional performers will be announced in the coming days.
