RONA Inc. to be deleted from the S&P/TSX Composite Index
TORONTO, May 13, 2016 /CNW/ - S&P Dow Jones Canadian Index Services will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices:
The shareholders of RONA Inc. (TSX:RON) have accepted a takeover bid from Lowe's Companies, Inc. (NYSE:LOW). Shareholders of RONA will receive $CDN24.00 cash for each share held. The shares of RONA will be removed from the S&P/TSX Composite, Capped Composite and Composite Equal Weight, the S&P/TSX Completion, the S&P/TSX Capped Consumer Discretionary, the S&P/TSX Composite Dividend and the S&P/TSX Composite Buyback Indices after the close of trading on Friday, May 20, 2016.
