S&P Dow Jones Indices Announces Changes to the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices

Index Constituency Changes for Brookfield Business Partners L.P.

TORONTO, June 10, 2016 /CNW/ - S&P Dow Jones Canadian Index Services will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices:

Brookfield Asset Management Inc. (TSX:BAM.A) will spin out, on a 1-for-50 basis, units of a newly-listed security named Brookfield Business Partners LP (TSX:BBU.UN). The units of BBU.UN will be added at zero price to all indices where BAM.A is a constituent after the close of trading on Friday, June 17, 2016. At the time of the spinout, the GICS of BBU.UN will be the same as BAM.A. Effective at the open on Tuesday, June 21^st, 2016, the GICS of BBU.UN will be 20103010 (Construction & Engineering) as previously announced.

After the close of trading on Monday, June 20, 2016, the spun out units of BBU.UN will be removed from the following indices:

• S&P/TSX 60, 60 Capped, 60 Equal Weight and 60 ESG Indices
• S&P/TSX Capped Financials Index
• S&P/TSX 60 Carbon Efficient and 60 Carbon Efficient Select Indices
• S&P/TSX 60 Fossil Fuel Free, 60 Fossil Fuel Free Carbon Efficient and 60 Fossil Fuel Free Carbon Efficient Select Indices

BBU.UN will be added to the S&P/TSX Completion Index at the close on Monday, June 20, 2016.
