A Spinout from Brookfield Asset Management Inc. (TSX:BAM.A)
TORONTO, May 24, 2017 /CNW/ - S&P Dow Jones Indices Canadian Index Services will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices:
Brookfield Asset Management Inc. (TSX:BAM.A) has received all the necessary approvals to complete the distribution to its shareholders of shares of Trisura Group Ltd. Shares will be distributed on the basis of one share of Trisura Group for every 170 shares of Brookfield Asset Management held. The ex-date of the distribution is expected to be May 30, 2017.
The distributed shares of Trisura Group, which are expected to be trading under the ticker symbol "TSU" on TSX, will be added at zero price to all indices where Brookfield Asset Management is a constituent effective at the open of trading on Tuesday, May 30, 2017. If the stock trades at least a board lot on TSX during the day on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, it will be removed from all the same indices at the TSX MOC price effective prior to the open on Wednesday, May 31, 2017.
