TORONTO, July 4, 2018 /CNW/ - Sweet-toothed Canadians have gallons of reasons to celebrate National Ice Cream Month this July, thanks to the launch of delivery to your door from Baskin-Robbins Canada. After a successful delivery pilot program in the Ontario market, Baskin-Robbins' popular line up of Pre-Pack ice cream tubs, Fresh Packs of any available flavour, Ice Cream Cakes and Polar Pizza Ice Cream Treats, will now be available for delivery through Uber Eats. In total, residents of some 20+ communities will be able to order these flavourful treats during the hot summer months, and all throughout the year, through the convenience of the app.
"Getting a special package of ice cream treats, delivered straight to your door, is a source of great joy at any time of the year and whatever the circumstance," says Natalie Joseph, representative for Baskin-Robbins Canada. "Customers want this level of convenience and we're delighted that a large portion of our franchisees have jumped on the opportunity to do so."
To encourage trial, Uber Eats and Baskin-Robbins are offering a special "Ice Cream Sundays" promotion, through which customers will receive a discount of $10 off Baskin-Robbins orders of $20 or more from participating locations on Uber Eats in Canada. The promotion takes place on Sundays, July 8 through July 29, and is part of the brand's efforts to celebrate National Ice Cream Month.
This July, Baskin-Robbins is also reintroducing BeaverTails Pastry Ice Cream as its Flavour of the Month. The classic Canadian treat combines the taste of cinnamon caramel flavoured ice cream, combined with BeaverTails pastry pieces topped with a fried dough flavoured ribbon swirl. Once more, Baskin-Robbins and BeaverTails have partnered to donate 10 cents of every scoop sold at participating locations to Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada throughout the month of July.
Also introduced this month is Honey Almond Greek Frozen Yogurt, Baskin-Robbins Canada's first-ever Greek frozen yogurt. Available at participating locations, the newest addition to the brand's growing line of frozen treats is made up of honey flavoured Greek Frozen Yogurt, Roasted Almonds and Marzipan swirl, and includes beneficial live and active cultures.
Additionally, the brand serves up more ways for Canadians to celebrate with its newly introduced Sundae Shakes, a rich and creamy milkshake with a sundae on top to give you the best of both worlds, and the comeback of its classic Caramel Praline Cheesecake flavour, which was first introduced in 1970.
