MONTRÉAL, Dec. 7, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - The Black Wealth Matters series on Videotron's MAtv community channel is ending on a high note with a special episode taped at the first International Black Economic Forum (IBEF). After a 9-episode run in the fall, the series culminates with host Henri Pardo interviewing key figures at the Forum – professionals, artists, influencers, teachers and entrepreneurs – about financial success for black communities.
Pardo also talks to Kerlande Mibel, the founder of IBEF and candidate for mayor of Montréal-Nord in the last municipal elections, and Frantz Saintellemy, honorary chairman of the Forum. Among other things, they discuss entrepreneurship in the black community and the ongoing efforts to build a more prosperous future for its members.
About Black Wealth Matters
Black Wealth Matters is a show about black entrepreneurs in Montréal and the promise of economic empowerment for the black community. Henri Pardo, the originator, producer and host of Black Wealth Matters, says he is very gratified by the series' success: "After I suggested the concept to MAtv, I received all the support I needed to develop and produce the show. The special episode on the International Black Economic Forum will give viewers a chance to find out about the support that's available to entrepreneurs from various organizations and mentoring programs, and about how to find concrete solutions. At the same time, the series documents an historic collective movement and shows its impact in the community."
