TORONTO, July 23, 2012 /CNW/ - On Saturday, August 4, GO Transit will be running trains along the Milton, Kitchener, Barrie and Richmond Hill GO lines with additional trips on the Lakeshore lines.
Taking GO this summer has never been easier with weekend train trips to great summertime events, like the Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival parade. To give parade revelers more options to get downtown, GO is providing special train trips on some lines that do not normally operate on weekends and extra trips on the Lakeshore lines. The special trips on Lakeshore, Milton, Kitchener and Richmond Hill GO lines will include one morning Toronto-bound trip and one homebound trip in the afternoon. GO's summer weekend train service along the Barrie line will offer even more options to get to the parade.
Advance flat-rate GO day passes for August 4 are available at most GO Train stations now. Adults can travel to/from the parade for $10; discounted passes for seniors, children and groups are also available. Getting GO fare in advance means worry-free travel on parade day.
Information on the advance passes and special service is available at gotransit.com.
