BLAINVILLE, QC, April 8, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - SPI Health and Safety has announced the return of Martin Tremblay, who served as the Chairman of the company's Board of Directors until recently, to the position of President and CEO.
"Almost four years ago, I decided to leave my position and devote myself to developing business in Western Canada. The challenges of the current economic situation have had a large impact on my decision to return to the helm of SPI," Martin Tremblay explained.
Robert Courteau, who served as the President and CEO of SPI since 2012, leaves the company to return as active partner of CM Management Inc., a firm specialized in strategic planning and organizational development, that he founded in 2007. "Robert played a major role in the expansion of the company. He was an excellent leader and I sincerely appreciate his significant contribution," Martin Tremblay added. "Starting today, I am taking over as President and CEO, a responsibility I have always enjoyed assuming.
This announcement will have no impact on the current strategy of the company, which is still committed to being a partner of choice for companies who are concerned about the health and safety of their employees.
