What Is It all About?
The point of the series is for speaker and audience to reflect on the many ways sports engages us, also spiritually. In an era when stadiums are often referred to as temples, and fans worship their on-field heroes, and people in the audience hoist signs saying John 3:16, and many players make conspicuous displays of their faith (or don't!), we can be forgiven for thinking that sports and spirituality are not exactly the same thing. So what gives? Who cares? What do experts see and what do they make of it? Our speakers span religions and perspectives, but all are very engaging.
Join us for some great talks, great speakers, fascinating stories, and wonderful discussion. Check our web page at http://www.lawrenceparkchurch.ca/ for dates and times. Or contact John Suk at [email protected] for more information.
