CORNWALL, ON, Dec. 17, 2015 /CNW/ - During this holiday season, members of the Cornwall Regional Task Force (CRTF) and its joint partner, Canada Border Services Agency Enforcement and Intelligence Unit (CBSA E&I), have geared up to continue the Christmas Cheer throughout Cornwall and the surrounding area. Their latest achievement has been the donation of over 30 new presents to Sparky's Toy Drive. The toys, were donated by the employees of the CRTF and CBSA E&I, and will be distributed to local children and families that are underprivileged. They believe that on Christmas morning, every child should wake up to find a present.
This Christmas season, the RCMP has been involved in many festive community events. The CRTF members were excited to once again participate in the annual Santa Claus Parade. Officers wore their traditional Red Serge uniforms and handed out candy canes while walking along the decorated boat float. The children's faces lit up when they saw the RCMP mascot, "Safety Bear" walking in the parade.
