TORONTO, Oct. 7, 2014 /CNW/ - Sprylogics International Corp. ("Sprylogics") (TSXV: SPY), a technology provider of local mobile search and messaging solutions for consumers and businesses announces that its Poynt local search app is now available to Kik users, allowing them to easily find and share local content.
Kik is the smartphone messenger that lets you talk to anyone no matter where you meet, and has more than 150 million users globally. Kik has a built-in browser as well as a growing library of HTML 5-based experiences that can be discovered and shared seamlessly within Kik.
With the addition of local search from Poynt, Kik users will be able to search, discover, view, discuss and share movies, restaurants, videos, and local events, all without leaving the app.
"We are very pleased to be working with Kik as we continue to increase the footprint and global reach of our Poynt application," says Marvin Igelman, CEO of Sprylogics. "Kik is one of the top mobile chat applications by size of user base, and its significant North American presence provides a great opportunity for us to effectively monetize the chat experience by way of relevant, targeted mobile advertisements. We believe this arrangement with Kik could significantly increase Poynt's user base in North America, where the highly developed mobile advertising infrastructure presents the greatest revenue potential for Poynt."
