SS&C Introduces New Employee Benefits and Enrollment Portal
Latest release adds a new consumer portal to a powerful, proven platform – increasing satisfaction and driving employee engagement
WINDSOR, Conn., Jan. 14, 2016 /CNW/ -- SS&C Technologies Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: SSNC), a global provider of financial services software and software-enabled services, today announced the introduction of a completely redesigned employee enrollment portal for BRIX™ v5.0, SS&C's benefits administration solution for insurance carriers and benefits brokers.
Insurance carriers and benefits service providers are seeking ways to streamline enrollment and administration following the launch of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and the emergence of increasingly complex benefit plans. Employees have also come to expect a personalized experience that makes navigating enrollment simple and intuitive. The new consumer portal utilizes flexible, mobile-first, cloud technology, substantially enhancing the user experience and improving plan participation.
The consumer portal simplifies and expedites employee enrollment especially when options chosen exceed the guaranteed issue (GI). SS&C's BRIX v5.0 also allows carriers to syndicate branded, compliant enrollment and application services across multiple third party platforms and private exchanges. These capabilities, combined with BRIX's group and individual premium billing and carrier data exchange services, allow carriers and benefits brokers to offer significantly improved services to their plan sponsor customers.
"Benefits administrators and private health insurance exchanges excel at medical enrollment but still face challenges in offering group life, disability and other ancillary coverage - especially at re-enrollment," said Tim Reilly, Senior Vice President, Institutional and Investment Management, SS&C Technologies. "Using BRIX to syndicate evidence of insurability (EOI), a carrier is able to confirm the enrollment channel is configuring benefits according to its contracts, and shrink the gap between enrollment and underwriting decisions. When the carrier chooses to syndicate both enrollment and EOI, they regain control over every aspect of benefit determination and EOI capture."
BRIX 5.0 will be commercially available January 29, 2016.
