Former NHL(R) Hockey Legends share their memories in support of Alzheimer's
TORONTO, May 4 /CNW/ - Legendary Stanley Cup(R) winners Gordie Howe, Johnny Bower, Mark Napier and Doug Gilmour will gather around the Stanley Cup to trade stories and give play-by-plays of their favourite hockey memories on Thursday, May 6th at Scotia Plaza. The hockey heroes will be in Toronto to help raise awareness of the Scotiabank Pro-Am in support of the Gordie & Colleen Howe Fund for Alzheimer's at Baycrest, which kicks-off later on Thursday night with a Draft Party.

Media will have the opportunity to interview the hockey legends. WHEN: Thursday, May 6, 2010 Noon sharp WHERE: Scotia Plaza Concourse (Lower Level, 40 King Street West - outside of Winners) WHY: As Canada's largest annual fundraiser for Alzheimer's, the Scotiabank Pro-Am will have raised more than $10 million in its five-year history and will continue to provide crucial funding for care and research in Alzheimer's and related disorders. This is the first of a series of weekend events as part of the Scotiabank Pro-Am which kicks-off with Thursday night's Draft Party! The Scotiabank Pro-Am is a three-day hockey experience for men and women, where each participating team of 11 to 17 players, plus one coach, will draft an NHL alumnus to play on their team. Teams must raise a minimum of $25,000 and draft positions will be determined by the total dollars raised by each team. This is a media event and no autographs will be available.
