Starbucks to Celebrate 25th Anniversary Milestone in Vancouver

VANCOUVER, June 5, 2012 /CNW/ - In 1987, Starbucks Coffee Company (NASDAQ:SBUX) opened its first store outside of the U.S. at the Seabus Terminal in Vancouver, Canada. Success in Canada demonstrated that the company had the opportunity to establish a global footprint of stores, which ultimately evolved into more than 17,000 stores in 59 countries worldwide. On June 7^th, Howard Schultz, Starbucks chairman, president and chief executive officer, along with Mayor Gregor Robertson, will join Starbucks partners (employees), customers and the Vancouver community to commemorate the anniversary.
