VANCOUVER , Jan. 20 /CNW/ - Starfire Minerals Inc. (TSXV: SFR) is pleased to announce that it has now closed its non-brokered private placement previously announced on December 1, 2009 , and issued a total of 3,600,000 units at $0.05 /unit for gross proceeds of $180,000 .

All securities issued pursuant to this private placement are subject to a Canadian hold period expiring May 15, 2010 .
