Starseed Holdings Inc. Announces Cannabis Supply Agreement with the British Columbia Liquor Distribution Branch
TORONTO, July 13, 2018 /CNW/ - Starseed Holdings Inc. ("Starseed") is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with British Columbia's Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) to supply cannabis products as the country prepares for adult-use legalization on October 17th.
This follows the announcement earlier this month that Starseed had finalized an agreement with the Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis Commission ("AGLC") to supply cannabis products in Alberta.
"We are thrilled to be one of the selected LPs to enter into an agreement with BC's LDB," said Angelo Tsebelis, President of Starseed. "We hold a great deal of respect for BC as being one of the most mature markets for cannabis in the country. Inclusion on BC's LDB will allow us to meet consumers' high standards and expectations of cannabis, and continues to support Starseed's national growth plan."
Starseed is one of the 31 licensed producers that have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with BC's LDB to supply a portfolio of dried cannabis flower, pre-rolls and cannabis oils. Starseed will additionally invest in educational programs related to the safe and responsible consumption of adult-use cannabis in the province.
"Our partnership with BC's LDB is an exciting milestone for Starseed," said Norman Wright, Starseed's National Sales Director. "Inclusion on BC's LDB is the ultimate validation of our products and our brand."
For BC cannabis consumers, dried flower and premium pre-rolled joints will be available under Starseed's soon-to-be launched adult use brand.
