TORONTO, Sept. 13, 2018 /CNW/ - Today, Starseed Medicinal Inc. ("Starseed") entered into an agreement with the AHLOT Corporation ("AHLOT"), a cannabis experience and innovation company. The agreement places Starseed's Saturday-branded cannabis inside the Cannabis Collections: Discovery Series Vol. 1TM, which is a specially curated pack of cannabis. It will be available to consumers when adult-use legalization takes effect on October 17.
"We are proud that Saturday has been chosen to be part of AHLOT's first collection," said Norman Wright, National Sales Director of Starseed. "This innovative offering is a new vehicle and touchpoint for customers to experience Saturday's dried cannabis products, as the company's footprint in the adult-use market continues to expand."
Subject to the terms of the agreement, Starseed will supply AHLOT with one of Saturday's products, Saturday Afternoon CBD Medi Haze. This will be made available in the form of dried cannabis flower and sold online through the Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS) and at retail locations in the spring of 2019.
"As curators and consumers, the moment our team at AHLOT was introduced to the Saturday brand, we became instant fans" said Greg Pantelic, Founder and CEO of AHLOT. "We selected Saturday Afternoon (aka CBD MediHaze) because it's a CBD dominant strain, and having listened to our community of Thinkers, we know this will play an important role for customers discovering their ideal cannabis experience."
"This is the ultimate validation of our product and our brand" said Simon Davies, Starseed's Chief Marketing Officer. "In a highly regulated and fiercely competitive market, AHLOT provides a unique opportunity to engage with consumers new to cannabis."
Outside of the AHLOT collection, Saturday cannabis will be available in the form of dried cannabis flower, oils and pre-rolled cones. The range includes CBD Skunk Haze (Morning), Jack Herer (Afternoon) and Hindu Kush (Night). Saturday will continue to invest in educational programs related to responsible consumption of adult-use cannabis to ensure the highest standards of care are met. Learn more at saturdaycannabis.com.
