State of the World's Toilets report lends importance to latest poop emoji craze

WaterAid's #GiveAShit app offers a way to take action on World Toilet Day, a day aimed at breaking the silence around the global sanitation crisis by allowing users to create their own custom poop emojis, learn sanitation facts, and take a stand on behalf of the 2.3 billion people who live without access to a toilet. WaterAid's State of the World's Toilets report highlights issues faced by communities around the world, who lack of proper sanitation which affects health, education, and economic opportunity — especially for women and girls.
