TORONTO, July 3, 2014 /CNW/ - Today marks both the 11th anniversary of winning the right to host the 2010 Olympic Winter Games and the formal closure of the project known as the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Organizing Committee (VANOC).
The Canadian Olympic Committee proudly released the following statement:
"In 2010, we invited the world into our home and the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games were delivered in world-class style. Congratulations to the leadership of VANOC and everyone involved on executing a fabulously Canadian multi-sport celebration.
