- 364 Acura RLX vehicles are being recalled in Canada
- Rear suspension bolts will be replaced at no charge
- No crashes or injuries have been reported related to this issue
MARKHAM, ON, Dec. 16, 2013 /CNW/ - Acura will voluntarily recall 364 RLX vehicles from the 2014 model-year in Canada to replace rear suspension bolts that may not have been tightened properly. During assembly, it is possible that one or more of the eight bolts that attach several rear suspension components were not tightened properly. A bolt that is not properly fastened could loosen over time and fall out, possibly allowing a portion of the rear suspension to move out of proper alignment, increasing the risk of a crash. No accidents or injuries have been reported related to this issue.
Acura is announcing this recall to encourage owners of all affected RLX vehicles to take their vehicles to an authorized Acura dealer as soon as they receive notification of this recall from Acura. Mailed notification to customers will begin in mid-January, 2014. Owners of these vehicles will be also able to determine if their vehicles require repair by going on-line at www.acura.ca/recalls or by calling (888) 9ACURA9.
