TORONTO, Jan. 11, 2013 /CNW/ - Dr. Chris Spence releases a statement regarding allegations that the University of Toronto is investigating his PhD dissertation.
"I wish to thank members of the media for respecting my family's need for privacy during this very difficult time.
I am, however, aware of allegations with respect to other writings, including my 1996 PhD dissertation. I want to assure the relevant parties that I intend to fully cooperate with any possible inquiry. I look forward to hearing from them at the appropriate time.
In the meantime, I again wish to thank members of the media for their consideration. My family and I would also like to extend our sincerest thanks to the many people who have expressed kind wishes. We are immensely grateful for that."
