Statement by Minister Duncan on the decision of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Executive Committee Français
The Government of Canada is troubled with the decision of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Executive Committee.
OTTAWA, Sept. 20, 2018 /CNW/ - "Canada has a strong record of supporting our athletes and the anti-doping movement.
"Our Government is troubled with the decision of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Executive Committee today to reinstate the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA). We believe that decision undermines the fight against doping in sport.
"We are firmly committed to the world anti-doping movement and will continue to work to protect the integrity of sport and the rights of clean athletes around the world."
-The Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science and Sport
