Statement by Police Association of Ontario President, Dave McFadden, after reviewing the Ombudsman's most recent announcement
TORONTO, Aug. 9, 2013 /CNW/ - "The Police Association of Ontario welcomes the opportunity to take part in any investigation or review that examines policing and how to improve public safety. Any process must be constructive and include all stakeholders, truly examining concerns and solutions. It cannot be a blame game or headline hunting, nor can it be characterized by inflammatory language. The police have become the agency of first call and last resort. We want and need to be part of the conversation, the process and any recommendations that may come from the Minister of Community Safety and Correctional Services."
