Statement by the Honourable Bal Gosal, Minister of State (Sport), Congratulating Mac Marcoux and Robin Fémy on Winning Canada's First Medal at Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games Français
OTTAWA, March 8, 2014 /CNW/ - On behalf of the Government of Canada, I would like to congratulate Mac Marcoux and guide Robin Fémy on winning Canada's first medal at the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games today.
Mac Marcoux from Sault Ste-Marie, Ontario and guide Robin Fémy from Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, made their bronze medal podium finish in the Men's Downhill (Visually Impaired).
Along with all Canadians, I am extremely proud of Mac and Robin's outstanding performance. They have given our Canadian Paralympic Team a fantastic start to the Games and has set the stage for success on the first day of competition.
It is a great honour for me, on behalf of the Government of Canada, to congratulate Mac Marcoux and Robin Fémy on their achievements. Best wishes to all Canadian athletes for much success at the Games.
