Statement by the Honourable Bal Gosal, Minister of State (Sport), on the Occasion of Canada's Sports Hall of Fame 2012 Induction Celebrations Français
CALGARY, Oct. 18, 2012 /CNW/ - On behalf of the Government of Canada, I am pleased to congratulate this year's inductees into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame.
The following Canadian athletes are being honoured for their remarkable contributions to sport in Canada:

With the induction of the Class of 2012, Canada's Sports Hall of Fame will now include 529 honoured members, representing 60 summer and winter sports.
The Government of Canada is very proud of our amazing sport heroes—past and present. They are inspiring role models for future athletes in this country, and their accomplishments show that Canada is truly a leading sport nation.
As the Minister of State for Sport, I commend Canada's Sports Hall of Fame on highlighting the achievements of our ever-inspiring athletes and sport builders.
