Statement by The Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, regarding the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated
MONTREAL, Sept. 19, 2018 /CNW/ - "As Minister responsible for the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI), I have accepted Glen P. Carlin's resignation from the position of Chief Executive Officer of JCCBI, effective October 19, 2018.
A process to fill the CEO position on an interim basis will be launched shortly, as well as an open, transparent and merit-based process to appoint the next CEO.
I would like to thank Mr. Carlin for his remarkable work as CEO of JCCBI, where he oversaw complex operations to strengthen the structure of the Champlain Bridge, and to replace the decks of the Jacques Cartier Bridge and the federal portion of the Honoré Mercier Bridge. Mr. Carlin joined JCCBI in 1989, where he held a variety of positions with dedication before being appointed to the head of the organization in 1996.
I wish Mr. Carlin every success in his future projects.
I wish to reiterate my continued confidence in JCCBI and its operations. JCCBI's critical day-to-day activities ensure the safe passage of thousands of users through the management, maintenance and repair of major infrastructures in the Greater Montréal region."
