OTTAWA, April 1, 2012 /CNW/ - All across this country, talented artists are making our country proud. Canada is home to more than 30,000 composers and songwriters. Our music industry enriches our lives, creates jobs, and generates economic growth.

Our Government recognizes the importance of the music industry, and we are proud to support our artists who help showcase our culture at home and abroad.
Congratulations to this year's award winners and nominees, including:
- Group of the Year: Arkells

On behalf of the Government of Canada, I would like to commend all the nominees and winners of the 2012 JUNO Awards.
