Statement by the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, on the Nominations for the 2014 JUNO Awards Français
OTTAWA, Feb. 4, 2014 /CNW/ - I would like to extend my congratulations to all the artists and creators who were nominated today for the 43rd JUNO Awards. Around 80 of them received their first-ever nomination for these prestigious awards.
JUNO fever is back in Winnipeg this year, and of this I am very proud. I encourage Canadians from across the country to take this opportunity to celebrate our talented artists and to feel the rhythm of our music.
I would also like to commend everyone involved in organizing the activities planned in connection with the JUNO Awards, which will be held this year from March 24 to 30, 2014. You are doing an outstanding job, and I thank you.
On behalf of the Government of Canada, I wish the best of luck to all the artists and industry professionals nominated for this year's JUNO Awards.
