MONTREAL, May 4, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - Jean-Nicolas Guillemette, Uber's General Manager for Uber Quebec issued the following statement on the City of Toronto's adoption of regulations for Uber.
« Today, the city of Toronto voted in support of workable ridesharing regulations that embrace innovation and the public's desire for more transportation options. Unfortunately, Transport Minister Daoust is moving in the opposite direction, drafting rules to shut down Uber across the province. We hope the Quebec government will take the time to consider more progressive alternatives so that it doesn't fall behind. »
