Statement from Toronto Mayor David Miller concerning the tragic death of
Poland's President and government officials

TORONTO, April 10 /CNW/ - As home to one of Canada's oldest and largest Polish communities, all Torontonians join me in expressing our condolences and deepest sympathies to the government of Poland and Polish people around the world. The loss of President Kaczynski and so many leaders in Poland's long struggle for freedom is particularly poignant as they were on their way to commemorate the one of the greatest tragedies in Poland's history, the massacre at Katyn. The thoughts and prayers of all Torontonians are with the people of Poland and all Poles around the world today.
