MONACO, Dec. 8, 2014 /CNW/ - Today, at the 127th IOC Session in Monaco, all 40 recommendations put forward in the Olympic Agenda 2020 were approved by the International Olympic Committee members. The Canadian Olympic Committee released the following statement:
"I applaud IOC President Thomas Bach for his leadership, vision and integrity throughout this 12 month process. As a member of the IOC's Sustainability and Legacy working group, led by HSH Prince Albert of Monaco, I see a great opportunity for modernization and moving the Olympic Movement forward. I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to work at making those historic changes possible. These unanimously accepted recommendations will be a catalyst for important and positive change and create an improved environment for continued success for the Olympic Movement in Canada and across the globe."
